Every candidate level 1,2,3 and revalidations will have 4 days of training from an IRATA trainer before being assessed by an external IRATA assessor on day 5.

Rope Access Training

IATS Ltd have years of experience working and training in the rope access industry. We have a purpose designed training facility in the centre of Inverness, a vibrant, and lively location in the heart of the Highlands. As well as IRATA rope access training for all levels, we also offer various work at height competency training courses and advanced rescue training to cater for all needs.

At IATS LTD we use experienced IRATA Trainers and Assessors, and pride ourselves on our consistent success rate in delivering the highest standards of training, we love what we do, and see our success in people wanting to come back to train with us.

Our group sizes range from 3-8 delegates and our instructor ration ranges from 4:1 to 6:1, 6:2 or 8:2  and our instructors will spend time with you as a group and 1:1 to help refine your skills and knowledge as the week progresses.

Whatever level of training you require we will ensure you receive an informative course, are given the time and guidance required to not only practically satisfy the syllabus but to also technically understand what you are being trained in and why, and more importantly we want you to enjoy the experience and come back for more..

IRATA Refresher Training

We offer refresher courses for all IRATA technicians not actively engaged in rope access activities for six months or more. As a loyal customer, if you trained with us in the past there is no charge. If new to IATS refresher training is £130.00 + VAT (Total £156.00) which we will refund to you when you book your first rope access training course with us, thus providing refreshing training free of charge.

The Rope Access System is a safe method of working at height where ropes and associated equipment are used to gain access to and from the work position, and to be supported there.

Rope Access two-rope fail-to-safe method of working has solved many access problems around the world in industries such as Oil & Gas, Confined Spaces, Shipping and Harbours, Building Maintenance, & Renewable Energy.

IATS offer all 3 IRATA levels training, with initial candidates starting on Level 1 with no prior experience necessary.

Level 2 – Minimum of 1000 hours and 12 months logged rope access experience as an IRATA Level 1.

Level 3 – Minimum of 1000 hours and 12 months logged rope access experience as an IRATA Level 2.
